Exhaust Studs: Short threaded side in or out?
«

Im installing new exhaust studs on my G5, but not sure if the short side goes in the head or if the long side does. My old ones were one side with the short in and the other side with the long in, so looks like either eay will work, but what's the correct way?
Thanks for the assistance.

I just replaced the studs on my Quota with M8X45 SS allen bolts, but the studs I removed were short end into the heads. I would imagine that they would work either way though.

If the long side into the head ended up the same protruding length as the short side (into the head), then the long side must have bottomed out. I'd go with short side into the head too.
