Like some here, the fuel gauge isn't very accurate on the 8V Norge. I know I can monitor the odometer but I paid for a fuel gauge and the one on the Norge is easy to see so why squint at the odometer all the time. A quick glance at the fuel gauge is all it should take.
MG knows about the problem and will fix it pronto so don't hesitate to have them fix it if it's in warranty and even if your warranty has expired but you notified MG or a dealer, they still have to fix it under warranty.
I highly recommend that if you find a fault during the warranty period, always document the problem and inform MG and/or a MG dealer. That sets the groundwork for the warranty claim even if you can't get into the dealer for the fix right away.
The fuel gauge problem is known but there are other items that perhaps many simply don't report and fix themselves. That is fine but the problem should still be documented and reported. Not reporting faults under warranty or otherwise is a disservice to everyone else. Reporting of faults means the factory is aware of the issue and can do something about it. Even if they don't, the more people that report the same problem, the better the chances things do get fixed.
IMHO.
