'98 V11 EV a little what goes where help please.
« on: July 03, 2015, 04:49:14 PM »

I was working on this former basket case and let it sit again.  I can't remember where these ground wires came from.  I had the horns, regulator, and ignition coils off.  Anybody?

I haven't a clue how to assemble this mess.  I assume the captive nut is on the wrong side of the bracket.  I'm not even sure what's missing, other than a battery.

BTW, I rode one of these bikes a few days ago and I'm now motivated to get it going.

TIA!

Those look like the ground wires for the horns, but I can't be certain. The coils might have something too. The regulator SHOULD have a good ground on it but I don't think it did originally.

Yes, the nut goes on the other side of the air box bracket. Then the tank. Then on top of the tank goes the battery hold down bracket.
