2015 Cali Tour - Urgent Service and blinking red light
« on: October 01, 2018, 05:19:57 PM »
Hello all,

As the sub line indicates, I have a 2015 Cali 1400 Tour with 8k miles (lovin'it!).  The other day I started it, it gave me an urgent service warning and a blinking red light.  I rode it carefully and noticed a distinct lack of power (limp mode, I assume).  I turned around and brought it back into my garage.  I stopped and re-started it three times within 5 minutes.  On the fourth re-start...all was fine.  I rode it for three hours and there were no problems.  The bike is always garaged, I had the first service at about 1k miles and two oil changes since then.   Gremlins?

Any input is appreciated.

Be well,
Doug

Thanks for the reply.

I do not, I'm a real newbe to Guzzi World.
How do I get the Guzzidiag and how quickly will I get myself into trouble if I try to use it?

Hi Chuck,
Thank you for the info.

I just clicked on the link and I think my brain just threw up.  I will look at it again with fresh eyes in the morning.

Welcome to the forum Doug.

The hardest part is getting the correct cables. Soon you will see the step by step instructions some of the guys here have put together and it will start to make sense and you'll feel comfortable with using it.

There are very helpful Guzzi enthusiast here that I'm sure take great pleasure in helping others out.

Hi,

Can anyone provide me with a direct link to get the cables for my 2015 Cali 1400 Tour?

Thanks,
doug

P.S. Are they the same for a 2017 Cali 1400 Tour?

Thank you Pete, I ordered the cables today.  We'll see how long they take from the UK.
Also thanks to Danny who contacted me directly about my issue and others who weighed in.

Be well,

Doug

It won't take as long as you think. Most of the international stuff I've shipped or ordered takes about a week.

My Guzzi and I are a 'cult of one' in The Forge.  I've never seen another one here.  When folks see my bike, they usually say something line..."What's that?",  "Good lookin', what does it do?"..."Jeez, that's a big motor", "Did you make this yourself?"
