Quota U joints

Noticed noise in drive line,pulled swing arm and one joint was failing.I orderd two after market u-joints.ready to assemble and find out the caps are .002 smaller(no press fit) than my old ones and the over all length will not fit between snap rings.They will take them back,but now I'm nervis about ordering joints again.Anyone been down this road.Thanks,Joe
