Hey guys, I'm still building my guzzi cafe racer built on a 850T frame.  Can you guys recommend a good quality bright headlamp and tail light (hopefully with light for license plate)  Thanks!!

Have you trimmed or modified the rear fender?

I like this taillight.. Used it on the v65 to great success

Ooooooooh, that tail light looks awesome.  Does it have a built in light for license plate?  Btw, I'm running a short fender off a honda 400, but I have enough room to mount the tail lite and turn signals

MG has a Breva head light that worked quite nicely  on my 850. Lots of light ad a clean look.

For headlights I've always favored something older in a custom build.

I bought one of these for the V7Racer build I did. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tail-Brake-Turn-Signals-License-Plate-light-ON-ATVs-Dirt-Bike-Custom-Chopper-12V-/151815758667?hash=item2358eca34b
It was 4.00 more when I bought it! Chinese economy must be in trouble, 25% cheaper six months later.
No wire diagram, had to figure it out, wasn't hard. Nice and bright, decent quality, cheap! I ended up using something else, I'll use it on something.

Mayor, I think you sold me on the tail light.  It's very retro and is a good size

Well, I started with a V1000 G5 but it's basically the same thing.

I used a V7 Sport headlight bucket with an original NOS Cibie Z beam beam. I liked the look of the crystal of the lens and the pattern it throws at night is pretty nice.

What the light looks like.

I shortened the aftermarket tabs that hold it to bring it a little closer to the forks. It just looked nicer to me.

The rear is a reproduction Lucas light on a bobbed LeMans I rear fender and pan.

Holy crap, that bike is awesome!!!  Midnight Purple?  Your ride looks super clean.  Are those turn signals original?  Did you hide the electronics under the seat?  That is a very clean bike brother!!

Thanks!

Directionals are Speigler LED. Instrument is Moto Gadget with their M unit breaker panel. The small panel resides on a custom plate on the frame between the seat and tank. Ignition switch is Moto Gadget RFID keyless. The handlebar switches are also from Moto Gadget. Directionals, starter, horn, and menu button for the instrument ( oil pressure, air temp, mph, max speed, trip, oil temp, etc, etc). The wires are run through the bars. Handlebars are stock SP bars.

The color is actually a black cherry but it doesn't show up well in the pictures.

And technically, it's my wife's bike. I built it for her. She loves riding it more than her Griso SE, and that's saying something cuz she LUV's the Griso.

You must really love your wife!  :thumb:  I've been planning on running the M-unit with M-button.  I have a question about their RFID keyless, do you use that as a kill switch or do you have something in line with the battery?  I've also been looking at their hand controls, they look super clean on your wife's bike.

I love the RFID ignition switch, but it will drain the hell out of the battery if the bike is sitting for long periods (like over the winter etc). It's only milliamps, but they add up. I'm going to install a plug on the negative wire out of the battery that I can unplug when the bike is sitting for long periods.

Yeah, this forum is much more tighter than a lot of the car forums I go to. I haven't had the pleasure to meet any of you folk in person, but I did have a random 1hour phone conversation with Dusty that was hilarious! Thanks brother!!!
