Wait a minute, let me count: 1, 2, 3, yep, this is the 3rd Sunday coming up which means we will once again be at Ingram's Restaurant in Jefferson, MD (US 340 just south of Frederick, at the Lander Road exit) at 9 AM.

See you there!

If one is so inclined, there are two events at two different Jeffersons this weekend.

On Saturday, Carl F. and I plan to ride up to Jefferson, PA for the Vintage Japanese M/C Club swapmeet at the White Rose M/C Club grounds. If anyone would like to ride along, just give me a shout.

And on Sunday, the Guzzi breakfast in Jefferson, MD.

Charlie,

Just a heads up the swap meet was a pretty big bust last year. There were not many people selling stuff and what was being sold was not all that great.

I'd heard that about the vintage swapmeet they held, but the VJMC swapmeet is usually much larger. Anyway, it's more about the ride than anything else.

So, how was the ride and the swap meet?   ???  ;-T

Hey all,

I am moving to Silver Spring at the end of the month from Chicago. Is the breakfast always at Ingram's Restaurant in Jefferson, MD on the 3 Sunday? Since I'll be starting a new job on the 8th of Sept. I don't know if I'll be able to get Friday the 26th off, but do plan on making it up to Little Orleans on Saturday morning for the Maryland/DC Rally.

I've been going to the Illinois and Wisconsin rallies for years. I haven't been to one yet this year and am looking forward to the Maryland/DC one in September. I've also gone to the Kentucky rally the past couple of years. It's always a good time too. Especially when the corn squeezens come out late a night.

Looking forward to making some new Guzzi friends in the area.

Yes, for the last several years, the MD/DC Breakfast has been at Ingram's on the 3rd Sunday (even when it coincides with a holiday) at 9 am. Bring cash - Ingram's doesn't take debit or credit cards.

Hope you can make it up to the Rally, the new location is quite nice.

Planning on being at Ingram's, but, sadly, no time for the swap meet.  Had hoped I might see one of my mid-60's Yams, but German relatives arrive a week from tomorrow, and Kathi is in one of those frantic and frenetic "cleaning and get-ready moods" that are marvelous to watch ... unless you are part of her staff, as I am just now.    :wife: :D

So, just trying to decide between Griso or Norge; the EV is on the lift.  The Norge may be the more capable mount after an Ingram's breakfast.   ::) ;)

Glad to hear that you're going to make it this month. Carl F. and I were up at the VJMC swapmeet today and there was a pretty wide selection of bikes, parts and miscellany for sale. The bikes you would expect (Honda 250s and 305s, Yamaha RDs, DTs, etc.) but also Montesa and SWM trials bikes plus a few other "odd" brands too.

I saw one Guzzi there - a green 850-T with New York plates.

Beautiful day for a ride (and motorcycle event). I met Carl over at his place in Mt. Airy and we meandered along a bunch of back roads up to Jefferson. Nice lunch at the Papertown Restaurant in Spring Grove after perusing the swapmeet for a hour or so, and then more wandering all over creation on the way home.  :)

Going to head up for breakfast... Looking forward to it.

Assuming that it is somewhere in the back behind the gas station.

Yep, turn just beside the gas station and keep going up by the storage sheds into the restaurant parking lot.  We usually accumulate on the far end of the building.  If you come in off of 340, you can see where the restaurant is.

I'm going to have to miss this one.  We have a house full of extra kids.  We are having the end of summer/back to school slumber party blow out.  So I'll be making pancakes and kicking kids out of my house until noon.

Google Maps did show Ingram's as being the BP station on the wrong side of 340. The Diner is on the east side of 340, behind the Liberty Crown station.

Yup.

A hurried ride over, and I was worried because my new "GRISO" tag is exactly legal.  Kathi threw the registration and decal away!   :o

No, really.  She did.   ::)

That sort of thing does detune one's riding style.

On way back, just as I crested Crampton Gap on Gapland Road just west of Burkittsville, some reenactors fired a cannon and scared me feceless.  Then, several more rode up on horses.  Pretty cool, actually, tho they were rebs, and I'm a Union man.

Here a few pix ...

Saddling up at the Moto Grappa.

"Officer, I can explain.  Really."   :+=copcar

Miscellany of milling around after a mmmmmmighty fine breakfast ...  :food

I especially liked Jay's Breva 750; so does he.   :D

And, if you can't be red ... this is quite cool.   ;)  Actually, Grisos ruled today; three of us.  A Tenni is in one of the group shots.  And, oddly, someone said they saw another red Griso turning off of 340, but it didn't make it to Ingram's.   ???

Same "Rebels" that I encountered on the way to and from as well. You were only one mile from my house!

Are these breakfasts still going on?  Weather and schedule permitting I just might ride out there this month.
