Baxter Bike Rally

Sunday I got to go to the Baxter Triumph Bike Rally in Marne, Iowa.  Had a great time there.  This rally should be on everyone's must attend list.  Lots of amazing bikes, at least a dozen Guzzi's showed up.  Sorry i didn't take as many pictures as I thought I did.


this pretty Anniversary model was typical of the Guzzi's I found there. 

I actually felt bad cuz fiding 300 miles to get here I had bugs on the Norge!!

Of course when it's all over a guy's gotta eat..


While we were eating the weather dogs decided we had had too much fun and had to pay..


Of course it was sunny when we went in to eat so  we left the rubber gear on the bikes while we ate, so we had to get dressed in the rain..


You know how those weather maps go from green for a drizzle to red for a downpour?  Most of the ride home was through purple spots!

All in all a great time!

I almost forgot to mention the diesel powered ice cream churn and freezer..   very cool and fun.  It was nice to have fresh churned ice cream on a hot day.

Yea, me too.  My buddy John owns Buffalo Harley and at both shops has some beautiful old iron on display including an absolute mint Black Shadow which looks like it just came out of the showroom.  Lovely to look at.  Among others he also has a Bronson Sportster that correct down to the last nut and bolt.  How cool is that?
