Sounds about right to me.  I had a '76 R75/6 for a couple of years, no major problems save for terminal boredom.

I bought my T3 and an R90/6 within about a year of each other. I wound up despising the BMW, still love the T3 more than any other bike I've owned, I guess.

I won't prattle on about the R90's flaws, done that here before.

The article is a bit superficial and the comments reported from the various contributors are not very informed on average.

But thanks for it anyway.

Electrics don't scare me. Guzzi for sure. Bimmers are far to common and I don't think I can stick me nose high enough in the air to ride one.

Having owned a few Beemers , I don't get the boring thing  I'll bet if you asked the same question on an airhead forum the answers would be quite different . A well sorted airhead can be a joy, and they require very little . Ride them both and make a first hand choice .

I have ridden both. The first turn you seriously overcook you'll either be glad you bought the Goose or on the BMW wake up in the hospital.

I have a 90/6 along with my '85 Cal II bastard.  The Beemer has been reliable if a bit stodgy. I did a number of mods including a braced swingarm, aftermarket top triple clamp, fork brace, and springs.  The basic frame design is not as robust as a Tonti.  However I do have about 105,000 miles on mine with little going wrong.

My R90 is the easiest bike to work on and has given be zero problems.  Parts are easy to find as well.  I'd own one over a T3.

I have had a `73 75/5 and did find it quite boring, although for long distance riding that would be a good thing. My`76 850 T3 was a lot more fun and interesting.

Chitter chitter putt putt.. ho hum. ZZZZZZ. Oh. Doesn't handle very well, either. No, they don't require much, but they don't give much, either. Ridden them both. No contest.
YMMV of course. That's why they make all kinds. Even boring Beemers..  :boxing:

Chuck, could you be a bit more clear about how you really feel about them?
