First sound thrashing of the Strada from Chuck in Elwood..
« on: August 27, 2015, 08:50:28 PM »
After a few weeks of riding the Strada about, and checking all the mechanicals out (Chuck is a nice guy, but not much of a wrench ) I decided to see how it would go.  I took it up through some sweeping long roads in the local OC canyons, much wider and straighter than our normal Santa Monica and other mountain roads.  First, it got to 150 real quick, that was the first time I noticed the speedo had the larger Km on the outside.  But the fun part was 4500-7500, it really pulled hard through the gears. I have spent some time on another bike with a similar engine, an SP that I bought from, yep, Chuck in Indiana. It was a nice bike, and had a great fairing, but the 93 Strada really pulls for that engine.  Somehow, Chuck must have lucked out <shrug> and got it set up correctly, it is a blast to ride.... :copcar:
Thanks Chuck!

I think the Strada has mid valve heads as well Jon which would help.
