I think Monty Python has had a bigger impact on the Brits than Churchill and Elizabeth combined.

Thanks for sharing this because I hadn't seen it before. I especially like the part where they were ladling more power into the frame and the guy kept the other guy from adding too much. That was a close one!

One of the guys I ride with owns one of these and I got a chance to sit on it. There is no f***ing way I would ever be able to ride the thing, I almost laid it over just sitting there.

I have a 2005 Rocket, bought it new. Over the years I've put in Nevil Lush cams, Sam's Predator exhaust, removed the secondary throttle plates, a Power Commander, beefed up the clutch, TuneBoy, some suspension mods and some other stuff. I was running an imported tune that worked but wanted to get it dyno'd and I asked the Harley shop that was close to me to do it but they would only do Harleys. Ended up going to Olathe Suzuki and I'm glad I did, that guy really knows his stuff. We get over there and they had a Screaming Eagle Road King up on the dyno and they were trying to wring a 100 horsepower out of this $30,000 bike and they worked on it for at least a half an hour after we got there. I had brought along ear plugs and ear muffs and they were needed, that thing was loud. They finally got to 100 but when they rolled it off the dyno it had a rather loud knock in the top end, they should have stopped at 99. We put the Rocket up there while the Harley guy was still there and at half throttle we went way past 100 and easily ended up at 165 rwhp without having to beat it to death. Left it a little rich just to be safe and the torque was was right there also. The poor Harley guy was pissed.

Once you live with a Rocket you become power drunk. It's insane. I love it. It has no problem passing anything on the hi way and really handles well. Cross winds and semi's don't phase it. It is heavy though, you need to pay attention, not a beginner's bike. I bought a 2001 California Special because it's cool and light and i've never had a Moto Guzzi and I'm starting to like it. You should have different bikes for different purposes.
