NGC topics

There have always been , and always will be NGC topics on WG . Let's face it folks , W/O threads like Samantha or Jeannie , there would only be about 15 post a day here . As long as Luap doen't send the mods a nastygram re NGC stuff , well , after all , he does own this sandbox . So , our best advice , if you believe WG is becoming unbalanced with too many weird topics , start more Guzzi related threads , travelogues , pics of some Guzzi in a barn , anything that stays in the spirit of WG .

Remember , this is a virtual campfire , and if Guzzi riders are interested in something , be it for reasons of humor , or support , well then , there is your Guzzi content .

Thanks , and keep up the good work  :thumb:

Whew! When I saw this thread I thought, "Uh oh. Someone's complaining about my choice of Jeannie.."  and the word had come from on high that there wouldn't be any more NGC content.
In my opinion, that is one of the great things about WG. There are many "characters" that ride Guzzis. Many, if not most, have learned many unusual things over their lifetime. For instance, I would never have learned how to control Dorcia's "crawdad" overpopulation without Cam's long and detailed PM to me.
Long live the virtual campfire.. :thumb:

As long as it is not a bunch of old men talking about their sex life or the lack of, I really don't care what subject matter is posted.

Just go give me some counsel on my flat tire thread...
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

Well said oh illustrious moderator, the best thing about this forum is the variety of subjects from this eclectic bunch of people. I enjoy the humor of many subjects discussed here. Just motorcycle talk would get pretty dull.

Somebody toss another log on that campfire will 'ya?

Jeannie would cleave the wind better and Samantha's bony hindquarters would better close the wake behind them.

I've gotten better advice on here about my K bike troubles than over on the Moto Brick site.  I've also learned a lot of different stuff from NGC topics.

It's a seasonal thing, Dusty.  The riding slows down.  The off topic threads increase.  PMs and emails complaining about the off topic threads increase.  Just wait until next October/November.  You're in for a treat!   :boxing:

Dusty does have a point.  Instead of spending time emailing a mod about the latest off topic thread that doesn't suit you, try off setting the NGC with some GC.  Post up some pix of your bike.  Talk about your bike.  Talk about your rides back during the riding season.  Talk about the new hotness on the podium in Milan.

Thanks for the good input on the Diesel truck recommendations thread I started. I figured a bunch of gearheads would know something about trucks too. And y'all do.  :thumb:

Just a thought, and it might be a loose analogy...but perhaps Wildguzzi is a bit like Car Talk for Guzzisti...

Yeah , but was any of it right or useful ?

  Dusty

Very much so. I believe I will make a better decision as result of the discussion. But - not for a few weeks or month, perhaps. The input felt useful because I have a sense of how the members respond to other things that I do know about. To me, it was better than reading a discussion on a truck forum, where I would not be familiar with any of the members.
