I've done a lot of supermoto racing over the last 10 or 12 years and found that even when wearing leathers one of the big impact areas is your hips. I started wearing padded football shorts I got from the sporting goods store cost about 20 bucks and saved me numerous really ugly bruises.  look for the ones with a honeycomb structure built in they work really well.

Fox do a nice pair for the off road market. I started using them when I used to ride dirt bikes and liked them so much I use them on the road now. They have cycling shorts type padding in the backside too.

   Well I dunno if I qualify as "old man" - a couple of my teen and 20 year old library employees would say so given that anyone over 35 is ancient - but even still, I have a couple of embarrassing moments of not knowing hte prior quite well enough on the bike.  Though I've been on this board for years, I am not ready to share those stories just yet.

I've been wearing the hot weather version of the BohnSystem.com and find it quite comfortable.  It's good to know the armor has less chance of moving about; as it will in virtually all but a custom fitted race suit. The option of wearing business casual or a suit and tie has come in handy. All of the Bohn materials are washable and CE approved. Bottom line is rather serious impact and scuffing protection giving you the option of wearing whatever you wish, for any event/activity or weather you may encounter.  R3~

Well Wayne, and I'm just speaking for me personally here, I generally remove my clothes from the respected area prior to these activities.  Are we supposed to keep them on???  :)

Yes, it is like wearing long underwear. It's a slippery material that makes it very easy to put on outer clothing. The only missing armor is an athletic cup. Having been in a rather bad accident, long ago not on a mc, I always wear a cup. Another time, to cinch the deal was doing a surprise brake test with the Daytona, when I was cut off by a U turner.  R3~
