The V9 Roamer has been growing on me. (The Bobber, not so much.) Fortunately, a new Norge got in the way and took all my motorcycle money, so no chance of buying a Roamer any time soon (or a Thruxton R for that matter--I wonder if I can get my deposit back from the Triumph dealer?).

Don't hold back, Pete.      Tell us how you really feel about the V9 models?   

While I like the V7 look better, these aren't horrible.    I actually like the Roamer in yellow, but, not enough to trade from my V7.

I hope that the sell well, as that keeps Guzzi around for us to enjoy.     I do think that for emissions reasons that the V9 motor will replace the V7.   Hopefully, they see fit to keep the V7 style around along side these new models.

From all the rave reports I was also looking forward to seeing and sitting on the new Bonneville T120; frankly, I was disappointed with the look and feel of the bike, but perhaps that's inevitable when there's been so much hype.

So -- if this was a Guzzi corporate display at the show, this suggests there is/will be a 2016 Griso! This is the first concrete evidence I've heard about. (That is, something more than an appearance on a website.)

 :1:  I mean yeah, there are a ton of amazing naked bikes out there for about the same price or greatly bit less than the Griso but they are not "competition" for it.  Maybe the 9T or the R1200R and both of those are more expensive.

Price will probably be slightly higher than the newer Triumph Bonneville as per usual. Right around with the V7 racer.

With brembo brakes as standard and MG reliability, I think the price is justified to an extent. All the pictures of the bikes with people next to them have the required beards and fake vintage leather jackets that appeal to the Bonny crowd too, so the bike is obviously still geared towards hipsters.

If I were buying new, which I'm not, I'd buy a V9 over a V7 just because I absolutely hate the look of the plastic looking engine heads on the post-2012 V7 bikes.

The most obvious competition to my mind would be the R1200RS which, although fractionally more expensive in its most basic form, even in that form includes a number of features that the Griso doesn't have but which these days many would consider standard.  Don't get me wrong, I would much prefer a Griso; it's simply that it's beginning to seem very basic and somewhat over-priced.

The closest competitor of the Griso is the R Nine T, that is slightly more powerful and way lighter, but have worse suspensions for an higher price.

I saw a Thruxton there, although I didn't notice whether or not it was the R.  It looked lovely, but I didn't sit on it as it's not really my thing.
