Hey Mike , the weather station in Enid OK has been recording 251 MPH winds in Enid OK , guessing something is amiss with the equipment . Either that or most of Enid has relocated to Kansas

Not enough power even with a tail wind, or so I've heard.  I did see what looked like some very high-speed geese...Canadian geese that is.

Well if Enid blows into Kansas it will keep right on going to NE or further as it is very windy here. Getting ready to take a 1/2 mile walk to retrieve my A/C cover that is now stuck in my neighbor's hedgerow. Great day to ride to Canada however!

 John ,

It might be a good day for Mike to do some top speed record runs on the 8 valver , nothing like a 40 MPH tailwind

A few days ago, one of the Dallas stations had a weather map showing numerous high temps for the day in excess of 2000F and one at 3900F.  Obviously, global warming is worse than I had believed.  The meteorologist giving the report had a lot of fun with that one.

Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plain
And the wavin' wheat can sure smell sweet
When the wind comes right behind the rain

The truly strange thing about that whole "Oklahoma" thing , the author of the play Green grow the lilacs that the play was based on lived in Claremore , which lies on the edge of the Ozark plateau . No wheat , very little wind , heavily wooded . Doubt if Rodgers or Hammerstein ever got anywhere near Eastern OK  This is what happens when New Yorkers try to describe Oklahoma , they should stick to what they know

Yeah well , Okie from Muskogee was a big hit also , another song written by someone that had zero knowledge of what the truth was . Hell , we don't have a town square , and LARGE quantities of ganja was grown in the area . Of course no one smoked it , they just grew it for export

And the Muskogee Courthouse didn't fly "Old Glory" when the song came out. They didn't even have a flagpole until 3 or 4 years ago. I think the County officials finally got tired of people asking where it was, and put one up, so the tourists now have something to stand in front of and take selfies.

Then again, when I was watching Predator I didn't think two members of its cast would become governors, either. So you never know.

Yes, pretty windy this morning!  Lol.  At the airport it was 22 gusting to 35.  Warm enough to ride the bike though.  It was beating me up pretty good.
Don't think it made 251 though!
