While performing some lay-up maintenance on a LeMans for a friend here I noticed the right side throttle cable is frayed at the carb, it has the huge carbs with the side pull attachments.
Anyway, I recall when restoring this rig, wow, ten years ago that the cable routing was tight inside the small fairing and I am dreading doing the replacement.
Do the cables absolutely have to be routed inside of that little fairing...? I would think the wider, more gentle weeps by running them outside would be better for smooth operation.
Comment...?
Thanks,
Rob
