V7 Sport, 750S Original Seat

Hello all!
I'm new here, and I need a quick help!
I'm restoring a '74 750S. Long time ago I'm looking for original seat for it. Now I have a chance to get one.
A seller in Italy offer it, he says it's original. I know, there are lot of reproductions.
So, can somebody confirm it's original? I would like to be sure, before I spend a lot of money.
Thank you!

It looks like an original pan, the replacement pans are plastic. But, it appears to have some repair work done on the fender hinge. It is supposed to be welded to the pan not pop riveted. That is a very common problem area on these pans.

It also appears to maybe have new foam? Looks too white from looking through the holes, but that's not a bad thing. Usually, they're a lot dingier looking - the cover does look original to me. My guess is they did the repair Joe mentioned, maybe added a layer of foam or something to freshen it up and re-glue it - that's my guess.

The material & stitching looks consistent with my 750S seat, with less holes!

Have you considered the Stuchi reproduction of the 750S / 750S3 sport seat?
http://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=74&products_id=533
MG Cycle is currently out of stock but they may get more in some day.
The Stuchi has a metal pan and is well made.

Hello!
Yes, I saw them. On a german site these are available.
http://www.stein-dinse.biz
But I prefer the original parts first. No problem to me, if they are not in the best condition. The bike is in use, so I don't want to restore it to a full "new" condition.
I saw your topics. Great work! Maybe later I will have some question for you. But first I will read all topics about Tonti's.
