One of my favorite rides when I get in that part of the country:
Grand Island to Lakeside via  Highway 2,
Lakeside to Rushville via Highway 250 and then onward to South Dakota.

Thanks Daniel! BEAUTIFULL pics. I loved seeing a small sign pointing out the Oregon Trail, parking the bike roadside next to thigh high grass with NO one around, walking down & away from being able to seeing the bike & standing between the ruts left by the traveling wagons so long ago. Ft Robinson where Crazy Horse was killed by an army private. A tree in the middle of nowhere where, in the latter 1800's, a mother was found frozen beneath when she tried to retrieve her children from school before an approaching blizzard not knowing the teacher had already taken the children to safety. And then she couldn't.
