Back on a Guzzi
« on: January 15, 2016, 06:46:18 PM »
Sold the 750 Breva last year and had the itch for a bigger MG.
Low and behold, I picked up a 2013 Stelvio NTX this week!
Off season so, I test rode her and trailered her home.
C’mon Spring or at least 40 and sun…… :got pics: later

Your going to love it! I have been riding a 12' NTX for three years now. Long rides or short its comfortable , fast and handles well. Hauls a load and you wont be worried about where the next gas station is. The heart of the bike is the 8V engine. I have ridden many Guzzis over the last forty plus years and none have the visceral feel  and sound of this engine. The more you ride it the more you will see what I mean.  :thumb:

My Stelvio had a CalSci shield when I ought it, very good wind protection and no buffeting. Also fitted a set of Rox Risers, 2" I think, brought the bars back and took the stress off the shoulders.

No risers for me. I am long in the torso and the stock set up worked for me. I did add a Laminar Lip to deal with the buffeting. Other than that I added a universal tail rack and of course rewired the aux lights with fuses to protect from the dread dead battery. Oh, yea got rid of the OEM battery and replaced it with a lithium ion Anti Gravity unit.

Thanks
Does the 2013 need the aux rewire as well?
