Been fooling around with the old "T"
« on: January 23, 2016, 10:10:27 AM »
Over the last few winter weeks, I've been slowly refurbishing and upgrading my old "T".   I did some much needed deferred maintenance and repairs and a few upgrades along the way.  (Valtec timing chain tensioner, front mc and caliper, Greg Bender supplied headlight harness and relay upgrade (fantastic!),  new handlebars and switchgear, etc etc.

I also found some "big bore" Norton peashooter mufflers that slipped right on.  They sound good and not as loud as the old Emgo Dunstalls that came off it.

Still need a few odds and ends and some better riding weather...   :boozing:

Looks great. Hopefully the chrome cylinders have already been taken care of.

Thanks.  The Gilardonis were installed a long time ago and this is one of the late oil filter models.

Beautiful, clean classic you have there! Great upgrade on the switches/throttle, etc. That makes a big difference in the every day usability of that bike.  You cant beat the clean, uncluttered lines of an 850 T, IMHO.  :thumb:

Beautiful bike.

Seems like it has everything it needs and nothing it doesn't.

That is a beautiful example of a fantastic bike.  The v7 sport and the loops are amazing bikes, but it was actually the style of the t/t3 that got me into guzzis 20 years back, just love how they're put together (and yours is better sorted than any I've owned).  Ride on!

Wow!

Mine's in good running order but not so good looking, by a long shot.

Congratulations.
