New to the forum and Guzzi ownership so Forgive me if this has been covered before.
Just wondering how many Guzzi and in particular V7 owners are on here? You guys ever organise rides or meetups or anything.
I know there are Rallies etc held by tehg various Guzzi clubs, but I prefer more informal rides etc.

Im in Brisbane and have a 2013 Racer BTW

I tend not to ride with other Guzzi owners, they are to slow

There's quite a few Guzzis in Brisb & environs - your best bet for local rides is to join the Qld Club & tag along or organise rides on their forum or facebook, Make the date now for their Ruptured Budgie Rally on the third weekend in May (Mothers Day). Usually pulls in about 400. There's also AIGOR (the Australian Internet Guzzi Owners Register), an email-based text service for a source of gems & chatter.

If you are free over Easter, Guzzi is the featured marque at the Broadford Bike Bonanza - it seems like there will be a LOT of guzzi owners turning up there.

Sorry double d but I'm confused, you say Guzzi riders are TOO slow, but didn't you say you own a Guzzi ? By the way, did I spell the word in capitals correctly ?

Is supposed to be free track session for all Guzzis too, hope someone gets vid and posts it, could be 100 + Guzzis on track at same time, I'll be in it.

Been to the ruptured Budgie a couple of times. Great event but man its cold. Woke up with a lyer of ice over my swag a couple of years ago. Not sure If I can make it this year.
Hmmm How do you strap a swag to the V7 racer??

I've only just started to learn how to use the forum and therefore am pretty hopeless, most of the time I'm not sure that I've even posted a comment correctly so sorry if it appeared that I was hiding behind my anonymity, that's just a basic lack of skill on my part. I live in Victoria (Australia not Canada unfortunately) not far from what we call the high country but it's really not very high compared to the European Alps but I can only get there once a year on the Guzzi so have to make do on what's a pretty flat continent. So that's about it really.............

Huzo - yes, it's pretty flat around Ballarat, but a little bit east, or a little bit south ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Yeah you can only do the high country thing a certain amount of times. Just about to send the Guzzi back to Europe again for the third time. Probably up to Nordkapp again then down thru Germany, France and Italy again thru to Sicily. Wanna come ? You sound relatively local.

Sydney is pretty well equi-distant to anywhere interesting. What does it cost to ship your bike over & back? How long does it take?

A European trip is planned for the third quarter this year - UK to fix the bent V11, & supposed to be in Mandello mid Sep. Second quarter I have a UK cousin coming over to ride around the block - we'll take both the V7's - nothing yet written in stone.

Nice stable of bikes BTW.... Um, total cost of return shipping is up 'cos of the $. This year I'm up for about $3,800 and there are also a couple of minor incidentals. I collect my bike in Felixstowe and fly into Heathrow. Bike is left at Aussie depot which is in Sydney this year on March 2 and is collectable in Felixstowe on around May 1. I'd like to do the Transfagarasan this year via Stelvio again.

I`m on the GC, I own a V7, I have half a dozen mates in Brisbane that also own V7`s, we catch up for the odd ride, you would be most welcome.

There is a FB group, if you do FB send me a PM and I`ll send you a link.

There is a QLD Moto Guzzi forum but it`s a bit of a ghost town, nobody really bothers with it.

There`s a QLD rally every year, "The Ruptured Budgie" rally, it is supposed to be quite good, if you like rallies, very old school, no cars. Not my bag though, so I`ve never been.

I have a edited DVD of the Stelvio and Nordkapp etc, 2014 on Guzzi, 2015 BMW 1200 GS, but will need instruction on how to post video on forum, very new in that area and have no clue. My first post contained still of Guzzi on Stelvio but that's about the extent of it. Transfagarasan is still up in the air a bit 'cos it will take away time in Sicily.

Nope...if you look to the left where the posters name is, you'll see people's locations. Far far away from Stralia...out here in the Wild west of Houston, Texas.

A couple of us V7 owners decided to start a a FB group, it is for Australian V7 Owners but all other Moto Guzzi owners and enthusiasts worldwide are MOST welcome. It`s an open group, post your rides, pics and events or whatever you want there.

We already get together for a few rides, we`ll probably put another one on in the next couple of weeks.
