I have ordered a USB charging port supposedly specially designed to connect to the green plug and attach to to the dash for access on my V7II from AF-1.  They quoted 8 weeks delivery and it has apparently now been shipped but I have not yet received it. I will re-post here when I have it installed. I am going to use the USB port to charge my iPhone 6+ which I use along with a Ridewithgps.com app for route planning and following.  I also have a Garmin Zuma GPS but I much prefer the Ridewithgps.com app for route planning and GoogleMaps for unplanned routing.

I'm not sure how you found the part number or what led you to Mercedes but many thanks for posting it. I've been searching for it for quite a while without any luck.

It was posted on this forum....no superior detective work on my part.

I just thought I'd confirm the part number and price.  The place I ordered it from had it in stock. A little over a week to get it, ground UPS across the country.

Yep, I got the MB part from Autonation in Clearwater, FL.  Fits beautifully.  I'm not certain, but I think that the original reference to this part was posted here by Paul Minnaert, who goes by the handle Pauldaytona, and is the author of Guzzidiag.

The conector on my 2014 Special is behind the plate covering the ignition - handy - I post the photo, but it's taking forever to upload to photobucket.
