My dealer (and hes a good one!) is 8.7 km (5,4 miles) away from my home. He has the full Piaggio - range (including Vespa and Aprilia), Ducati, Suzuki and Kymco. And a well schooled workshop. He has always the full program from Moto Guzzi in stock.

The end of my driveway for the 1000S and the Daytona was delivered by Leafman around the corner from my house.

10 miles to pick up a MK2 Le-Mans. On one occasion I did a 600 mile round trip to pick up a Convert which I then put inside a wooden crate and had it shipped to Australia for a mate of mine. The bike did over 10,000 miles and took six weeks to get there.

I thought I was nuts because I rented a U-Hual trailer and drove 184 miles to pick up my new V7II, a bike I had ordered without ever seeing or sitting on a MG of any sort. I  guess I lucked out because I love the bike.

I don't know if it's in the spirit of the question, but I was on a ride in the Yarra Valley near Melbourne in Australia and saw a '79 mk 2 Le Mans in a driveway for sale. We stopped, the guy came out, started it and I said I'll take it. So that's 5 minutes and 5 metres.

Hi Neighbor!  However, you must be from out of state, because the saying goes "The nice thing about RI is that, go 35 miles in any direction, and you're out of state"

From my bedroom to my home office computer.  Bought it online from a dealer in Oregon, shipped to Florida.  Wife thought i would get a box of parts, instead I got a beautiful Breva with about 3000 miles on her.  Today 18,000+ miles and not one issue, how sweet is that!  :thumb:

First off, I've never bought a new vehicle and all of them have been in need of some love. Found my 850-t3 in 1991 (first bike and in high school) 3 miles away from my parents house. My Daytona RS was accidentally found 14 miles from my home (at the time) in 2000 while helping a buddy looking for a dirt bike. First Quota found 8 miles away and wasn't advertised for sale, Doug happened to own a pair and wanted to downsize.

One day I'd like to do a fly and ride.

27.3 miles to Moto International from my house. Brand new '08 Norge in summer of '010 It was a wonderful ride home.
I had installed a new Furnace for my Doctor in the morning and rode home with a new bike in the afternoon. A couple of weeks later I went on a 10 day trip to Glacier MT. with 4 other couples.

6.2 mi. for a California 1400 touring. It is a comfort to have the dealer close by.

John B. (Ratguzzi) delivered an SP1000 to my driveway in the back of his van.  Easiest purchase I've ever made.  He had to drive hundreds of miles.
I put on my slippers.
Thanks, John!

Well I've only bought one and it was about 1000 miles away, in a small village in the hills south of Florence, Italy.

I didn't ride it home though as it was 35 years old and not been run for at least 3 years so I thought it wise to bring it in a van...

Both trips about the same: 26 miles down to Razee's in RI for the used Nevada in 2008, and  about 24 in the other direction for the Breva 1100 four years ago.

I have only bought one and it was about 2 miles from my house and was listed on Craigslist.  It had 800 miles on it and had been serviced.  The seller even rode it to my house.  We swapped title and money and then I drove him home. Simple.
