Nothing to see here .... but a beautiful February afternoon
« on: February 23, 2016, 05:27:28 PM »

It wasn't quite as nice as last Saturday, but it was bright, and temps were closing in on 52F.  I only put 30 miles on the old fraulein, but it was pleasant.  She takes to the winter-ravaged roads with grace.  Bing Vergaser forever!

Dusty .... you gotta move up here to the Florida of the North.  Actually, this has to be all El Nino effect.  Last year at this time, we were still buried in snow, and temps were brutal.

Re the GS - still has some engine vibes after having the top end refreshed (new valves, guides, springs, and  piston rings.)  But after nearly 18,000 miles since the refresh, and swapping out the old ignition bean can for a purely electronic system, and installing a new coil, the old gal runs pretty damned good!  I wish I could isolate and eliminate the last set of engine vibes, but that search could be expensive, and get me nowhere.
