I have used these guys to ship bikes to the USA and from the USA to Canada, very good service if you need to find a shipper that ships from Canada.

infoaa@aa-auto.com

Good luck with the bike, you could call Blackfoot in Calgary to discuss the service history, they are a big dealership and may be able to vouch for the bike.

I don't have any personal experience with the newer bikes but they are not too far removed from the earlier stuff, still dead simple tools. I think the price is a bit high to my thinking but on the other hand by the write up it appears to have  been well maintained and the mileage is fairly low.

Cheers

I have had a 2007 Vintage since it was new. The initial fuel mapping was terrible in closed loop, but updated maps improved things a great deal. I also added a GuzziTech O2 Optimizer, which enrichened things down low and improved driveability. The in-tank fuel pump hose popped off on mine and was replaced with the MPH kit. Also, the stock spot lamps use 55W bulbs that use a little too much juice. I replaced them with 35W PIAA Superwhites to avoid running my battery down. Apart from those refinements, all of my other modifications were in the interest of comfort and tour-worthiness. I consider my Vintage to be the most practical and satisfying bike I've ever owned. It looks great, is pretty simple to service, and has been comfortable and reliable throughout the time I've had it. As superb as the new 4-valve models are, I always lusted for a 2-valve Guzzi. This one is my first...and I dread the day that I wear it out.

thank you sheep dog
Couple of questions : I have never had floorboards /heel toe shifting ..how well does this work with the Vintage and as far as comfort in relation to the seat which I noticed on your beauty is not stock..has anyone converted to pegs re like a Bassa..
Looks like you have to drop the pan to change the oil , also new to me is there a update or is it easier than it looks ..
So far the bike has great appeal to me for touring which would include two up , they certainly are a pretty motorcycle as well .
Currently I have a 2007 1100 Griso which I love , looks like the engines are very similar ..

I'mm happy with mine. It's an 08', but I think no different than the 07'. I bought it new after it sat on a showroom floor in Kamloops for about 3 years.
I don't think the price is too far off. The opinions being offered I think are from our US friends, so factor in the exchange we are facing these days into their estimates.
Mine needed tuning to run right for me, but nothing else. I don't think the place where I bought it had done anything to it.
It gives great mileage...around 60 mpg (imperial gallons). I don't ride hard.
I find it comfortable for touring. It's the first bike I've owned with big bags. They are great.
I like the heel-toe shifting now. It took a little getting used to.
Yes, you drop the pan to change the oil.

I'm sure there is a drain plug for the oil, what a mess that would be dropping the pan with oil in it...

you do drop the pan to change the filter, which makes perfect sense to put it where the dirty oil is.. a little tedious removing all the bolts, don't forget the bolts thru the center.  don't over tighten when going back together, the threads in the block are soft and can get stripped if your a hamfist.

also you can use one oil filter for 2 or 3 oil changes, it doesn't have to be replaced every oil change.

you can swap out the whole lower frame rails with pegs and linkage from any late model Tonti frame.. Bassa, Jackal, Stone etc.. but give the boards a try first, you get a lot of options to move your feet around and they can be comfy for long days.. or Harpers might have a bolt on kit for pegs..

Well, you know what I meant. If you change the filter when you change the oil, you drop the pan. Hadn't had morning coffee, yet.

The Guzzi mounts it's floorboards higher than most cruisers. This good for cornering clearance, but not so good for comfort (I'm 5'11"). I corrected my "knees in the air" ergos by specifying a higher seating surface when Sargent redid my saddle.  It worked really well. I repositioned my shifter so I could slip my foot under the front lever (there is a second shift lever adjuster under the bike). On the right side I installed an Advanced Brake Pedal (no longer available) to create more floorboard space on that side.  For this bike, the heel-n-toe shifting is great. It works well with the rider's posture and clunks hardly at all.

The Vintage requires synthetic oil and only needs changing every 6,000 miles, or so. If you only change the filter every other time, dropping the sump only need be done every so often. However, if you want easier access, check out the Harper Outsider. Its a bit pricey, but makes filter changes a breeze...

The extra quart capacity and the ease of changing the filter make the Harper's "Outsider" a very reasonable investment.  I love the one on my 03 Stone Touring.

Sounds about right. The rev limiter will cut in around 7500/8000 rpm. Don't give that statement a second thought. The placement of the heel/toe shifter will feel awkward, as will the brake lever. As for the maps, he was trying to say it isn't horrible, but it can be better as far as fuel delivery is concerned. The fuel line in the tank is probably the biggie, as it will leave you stranded if it comes off. Not horrible to fix if you are at home, have the proper replacement parts, and have some mechanical skill.

Kind of high for the price.  You could fly-n-ride with a bike from the U.S., only caveat is what import duties to pay.  It might old enough that you wouldn't have to pay any.
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉 Hawaii.
