Anyone tried a Corbin dual seat for the CalVin?
« on: February 26, 2016, 12:45:57 AM »
CalVin seats will fit my '03 Stone Touring model as I have a 2007 CalVin "skunk" seat on it now.  I am very interested in the Corbin dual seat for the CalVin models.
I had a Corbin Stone solo seat on the bike for a year, but it was too low.  I'm wondering if the CalVin seat is rather low.  In that case, I'll ask Corbin to make one an inch or two higher at the rider's seat area.  Low seats are the "kiss of death" for Guzzis, which on the California series have footrests that IMHO are too high and place the rider's knees at too narrow an angle.

Thanks,

Ralph

Sorry, no experience with Corbins, but I can attest to the wisdom of a higher seating surface. When I had Sargent make me a seat, raising the surface 3/4" was one of my requests. It made my Vintage feel like a completely different bike. Much improvement...the ergos finally made sense.
