So we spent the last 6 days in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Sunday afternoon while uber-ing to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens with the famiglia I spotted a transverse, V-twin, air cooled little engine. Red tank, in the back of a black pickup, and I think a V50 Monza? Older bike, beautiful shape, definitely not a V7.
Saw a lot of bikes out with great spring weather. NYC riders have balls of steel. The lane splitting in traffic makes me wince. Mostly HDs but some old vintage Hondas, a brand new KTM and a pretty Bonnie.
Back home, delayed a day due to end of world Houston rains. SW air diverted us to Indianapolis, Indiana on my nickel. Toured around downtown Indy today with Ms. LD. Houston: all airports shut down yesterday. House is ok, but others in Houston had a really bad time of it. Pick up Triumph tomorrow, Chac the rain god willing. Very, very tired. La Guardia airport is no fun, especially when everything travel goes wacko. Will enjoy my own bed tonight.
