Curious to know if a 950 motor out of a convertible will fit into an Eldorado frame and what's involved?
There are several ways of going about it, but the easiest IMO and the one that retains the Loop looks the best is as follows:
The Convert is particular suited to Loopframe use because there's no tach drive on the cam. You'll need a timing cover from a chain-driven-cam Eldorado (engine number 58532 onwards) or one from an earlier engine with some machine work to clearance the "ribs" on the inside.
You'll also need a crankshaft adapter so that you can mount the belt pulley to the crankshaft. Teo Lamers did have this item, but seems to be out of stock at present:

Ignition is where you need to make a choice: use the original single-point distributor from the Loop engine (which requires that you swap the drive gears) or use the dual-point timer from the Convert (which requires that you find room to mount a second coil).
Either the VHB29s carburetors from the Eldo or the VHB30s from the Convert will work fine.
