1) How does most luggage attach to the rack?
2) Can I somehow use the stock grab rails on my V7 Stone (2013) to attach the bags?
3) Do they sell bags that use the stock grab rails as the attachment point.

Thanks

Most hard bags are designed to latch to a special-purpose frame that stabilizes the box in all axes. This means at least three attachment points.

It's certainly possible to bend aluminum bar stock to form hooks that can bolt to the box and hang from the grab rail (I've done this), but you're left with the problem of preventing side swing -- you'll have to secure the bottom of the box to the passenger footpeg or muffler hanger, or something. Workable cheap solution if you use tough plastic tool boxes for panniers, or ammo cans, or Pelican cases.

My RKA has a strap over the top, passenger foot peg strap for the bottom, rear strap to keep it from sliding forward under heavy braking.

I'm not worried about a front strap because I don't "wheelie" with luggage.  or any other time if I can help it

Haven't got a clue about your question, but don't worry about sounding stupid mate.
