2004 Cali EVT Handlebar Risers Installed.
« on: May 07, 2016, 08:32:22 PM »
With the stock EVT bars I felt like I was having to lean forward like I was on a sport bike no matter where I tilted them to.

So I found the ROX risers in 1 1/8" 2" rise (or set back). Wrong size since the stock bars are 30mm. Couldn't find anything with 30mm, so these are close. With a dremel and a bit of time I opened them up a bit to fit. I also had to remove some of the extra metal on the end that goes into the stock bar mount to get them to sit flush against the stock bar mount. I also had to reroute the throttle and clutch cable and make an adjustment to the RH front brake hose. This is why I made a post to see if there are longer "Guzzi" cables and hose available as the cables "just" fit.

With just a short ride today, the bike feels like a touring bike rather than a sport bike. More of an upright seating position like my old police bikes.

Hope this helps someone looking to do the same thing,
Tom

I just put some spacers under the oem risers and used longer bolts.
