Your V9 may suffer the indignity of my V7 III.
There is no way to check transmission fluid level except by draining, measuring and copying that volume for refilling. Of course you need to account for cling related temperatures, especially if the out-going oil is not hot. Otherwise the laws of diminishing returns always apply. Do sight ports scare the b'geesus out of Guzzi engineering. I believe the fill volume is 500cc, same as the V7 or by popular comments, 450cc's, in hot weather/hard rides. The caution regards venting and attendant mess, rear tire shine, etc.  Good fortune,  R3~

I got back to the shop and googled it. Cadre Cycles have a PDF of the V9 manual online.

500cc is the capacity on the bike. I thought it may be different than the V7 because it's a 6 speed.

Another bonus point for Cadre cycles after they went above and beyond at the Kentucky rally.  :thumb:

By 'Transmission' do you mean the gearbox or the bevelbox Joe?

The gearbox takes 500ml, all the smallblock six speeds are essentially the same, maybe higher primaries in the V9 but I doubt it.

The V9 uses a completely new bevelbox though whereas the V7-III still uses the 'Old' swingarm and bevelbox I believe.
