How do you get the headlight off of a Breva?
« on: May 17, 2016, 07:37:55 PM »
I'm having Breva woes, and would like to check in the headlight pod for any loose connections, but I can't see any traditional way to remove the headlight from the pod. Any clues or suggestions??

Thanks!

Two screws hold it to the ears. Then disconnect the main plug and take it to the bench for disassembly.

I'll have to take another look. I took the fairing off, and can't find any screws in the pod itself.

1100 Breva or 750?

I have no idea on the 750, but the 1100 headlight unit just has a plastic cover on the back which covers the bulbs. I think it just pops on and off with no screws, but it's been a while.

It's the 1200. I can't seem to find any screws in the headlight pod itself, or the chromed ring. Will post some pics when my phone decides to finally upload them.

So does this have the 1200 Sport fairing?

If so then there are a couple of bolts on the "ears" that the mounting bolts for the fairing screwed into. You have to unscrew those and the headlight unit comes out.

The headlight assembly itself does not come apart, there is just a cover on the back which allows access to the bulbs.
