Just got home from the movie. Great photography. Waaaay too much psycho babble. No way I could spend 10 days with those jaw flapping peckerwoods babbling about their "feelings" oh poor me I got my heart broken when I was 14 booooo hoooooo
+1I just got home from seeing it with my brother-in-law and riding partner. My first comment to him after it ended was... "I think they filmed this after marijuana was legalized in Colorado."
Meanwhile Nick949 is traveling the wilds of Northern Canada on a Nuovo Falcone W/O a support truck . Everyone wants to film their lives , or blog about it . Saw something recently titled , "So and so's epic journey from Calgary to Toronto" , or something like that . Isn't that just a Tuesday for someone like the Texas Turnip , or the aforementioned Nick ? Dusty
The problem I had with the movie was the emphasis on the message, "the story"...."the story"....."the story". I went to be entertained and enjoy a movie about adventure riding. While that was certainly a big part of it I felt the motorcycles were just a vehicle to convey their "message". If I wanted to be preached to I'd go to church or a revival. I didn't appreciate paying to hear about someone's abuse as a child or how someone's brother ruined his life by calling him shit. I guess it's my fault for not doing my homework beforehand. I could see it again to redeem myself of feeling bad about the movie. Not.Edit: I did enjoy the scene with the tannerite explosives..... just remembered that part..... it was buried deep.
How was the scenery? That was the only reason I was going to go...
Just got home from theatre. Met some pals, had some dinner, joined a parking lot with several dual sport cycles. Oh, and two side car setups. Took the Griso with Dart Marlin fly screen for it's first outing, breaks wind off chest. Helmet in clean air, enjoyed it at 80 mph.Movie had wonderful high spots but kind of slowed down toward the end. Great use of drones for spectacular scenery.Wish I had that talent with mine.
I am THIS CLOSE to going to John Day, OR...but I will go to CO at the drop of a hat!
