So, how did it go?

Great! No major issues.

Jim and crew are all really nice, and Jim knew a few things to look for in my model year that could have caused trouble down the line - specifically the plastic part of the fuel pump that was indeed already weakened by ethanol and the voltage regulator which was overcharging my battery.

Valves did need adjusting but weren't too bad. And the clutch cable def needed rerouting.

Oh and got the updated ECU map!

Now to recover from new York highways and stock guzzi v7 suspension

Great to hear you had a good experience.  For me dealing with Jim & his staff is well worth the two hour ride up to his shop.

I had to work remotely from his comfy waiting room most of the day, but he called me down a few times to watch. He showed me how to feel the proper tightness on the valve adjustment. Very easy, but also very easy to mess up
