Italian car and motorcycle festival, Yorkshire UK.
« on: June 05, 2016, 11:45:42 AM »

This is the first Italian festival held at Newby Hall in North Yorkshire. Loads of cars but only a few bikes; hopefully if this becomes an annual event, it will attract more bikes.
I turned up with my LM2 and the wife rode her Monster 696.
Here's a few photos I took.

This is my LM2 post satin black re paint to bring it closer to standard. The new fork brace makes a hell of a difference.

Paul Smart Ducati 1000, very nice.

Laverda Jota 1000, it plays music from those pipes.

The owner of this T3 found it in Switzerland and imported it into the UK
It had about 700 miles on its bores and it had been stored for more than 30 years.

These next 2 bikes were owned by an 80 year old gentleman. He spent years renovating the bikes and he rode one of them to the show. He did tell me what the lower of the two bike's was but I can't remember; hopefully someone can help out.

Ducati 450 single.

Moto Guzzi V11 Scura.

I see you took the blinkers off your LM II fairing.  Looks like a lot of Guzzis were there.   Thanks for posting here.

The unidentified bike with the scooter styling is a Galletto.
1972 V7Sport. Owned by me since 1978.
1972 V7 700cc ex Vigili del Fuoco?
1954 BSA M33 500cc.

Not sure if this will become an annual event, but if you Google 'Italian car and bike festival' in a few months, using Newby Hall as well, you may have an answer. Also check the Alfa Romeo owners club website as they were the organisers.

The original fairing had been 'worked on' around the indicator mounts and I couldn't find any indicator rubber surrounds anywhere to replace the original worn out ones. The fairing is actually from Airtech in the US and I fibre glassed over the indicator mounting holes before getting it sprayed. It is also unbelievably light compared to the original and so gives the front suspension an easier time.
