That's a big tree
« on: June 12, 2016, 09:05:55 PM »
I was riding my triumph today on a country rode at50 mph behind a VW Jetta.  I was50 to100 feet behind the car when a gust of wind toppled a large tree that landed on the car crushing it.
I stopped a few feet from the fallen tree got off the bike and helped a young boy and his mom out of the car.
The car was crushed but they had only minor injuries cuts and scrapes.
Damn that was close.
I think it's a sign that the universe wants me to be on a motorcycle.

Strong, gusty winds around here today as well. Was on PA994 heading towards Lake Raystown and traffic was stopped both directions. Tree about 18" was down across the guardrail and both lanes. A group of chainsaw wielding locals cut it up and had it out of the way in mere minutes.

Good thing we didn't loose you.  Thought you might show at the Guzzi demo ride days at Hamlin's shop this past weekend.
