If you were thinking of buying a Dart Flyscreen, this would be a good time to buy from the UK website. Great exchange rate and free international shipping.

Hey fuzzy, I'm not so sure about the dart flea screen I bought from you. I got a little buffeting while passing a Prius at about 86 mph the other day. I was southbound whith a 4 mph crosswind from the east. It was a two lane smooth asphalt road. Do you think that's typical for a '83 lemans? I wonder if I should drill some holes in it or contact dart to give 'em a piece of my mind?   :angry:o

Try it at 90 and see if it goes away. Otherwise, you could ask Ratguzzi about placement of the holes, I think he's done the most thorough venting experiment. Or we could meet halfway and discuss it over your favorite beverage.

Fitted one to my 73 V7 Sport this week (bought from the swap meet site here),
super easy to install, and it fits the headlight perfectly.

It will keep the bugs off the instrument bezel but not much more, oh well better than nothing!

I just reinstalled my Dart Marlin on Sophia.  I'd replaced it last fall with a Givi Universal for better cold weather protection.  I liked the Givi well enough, but its 8-point adjustment setup was quite fussy to get right.  Never got the Givi mounted spot on, but close enough.  But after a few spirited rides this season I noticed the Givi repositioning itself.  I didn't want to go through the effort of adjusting 8... essentially, U-joints (4 on the bike, 4 on the shield), so instead I took 5 minutes to remove the Givi and 5 minutes to install the Marlin.  Off with the one-piece, on with the bikini.  Sophia is liking her old outfit much better.  And so do I.

The airflow around the Marlin is quite clean and smooth, with the main blast raised from lower chest up to about my collar bone height.  Now my body isn't acting like a parachute anymore.  The Givi did very well at redirecting even more blast off my body but it wasn't as attractive as the Marlin.

Dart Marlin-

Givi Universal, one of several available.

And yes, off with the Mutazu boxes, on with the C-bow bags.

The Marlin looks great. The Givi looks larger than it probably is. And definitely too fussy.

As the seller of that windscreen to Canuck on the Swap Meet here, I'll affirm that the screen is the Classic Dart Screen, as advertised, not the Marlin model.  I'm happy that Canuck likes it, as I did.  The only reason I sold it was that I acquired a used Marlin screen, also on the Swap Meet here.  For my purposes, the Marlin fits my needs a bit better than the Classic, but both are designed and manufactured to very high standards, and, when installed, look like they came with the bike.

I've had it 15 years. Paid for itself in saved charcoal and worn out Webber grilles! (Guzzi content)

Thanks for the tip, I ordered a new Marlin and it worked out to 15% off by using Paypal on the UK site. Now I just have to sell my Dart Classic.
