Well, did a major service on my B1100, all 4 plugs, valve adj., new ignition wires and boots, new alternator belt, fuel filter, removed the throttle bodies and cleaned everything that was now visible.
All is good, had to order and wait for a few parts, no big deal, no hurry, I will just spiffy things up while I wait.
When I take things apart, I note or photo ( cell phone thing is soooo handy ), and put things in separate containers etc.
Putting everything back together, well hell, somehow, I managed to loose 2 machine screws for the fuel filter plate and the cover for the alternator belt....

How did I manage that, darnit, I am so careful, oh well, off to my favorite hardware store that has an amazing selection of nuts, bolts and all kinds of things you can't find elsewhere. Pick up what I need and I am back on track.
Finishing up, and I can't quite remember how I had mounted my horns.....hmmmm....
.wait, that bottom plate for the oil cooler, with 2 machine screws.....oh, O.K. that's where they went.
Putting the tank on, oh look, there are two clamps on the fuel lines ( vapor lines, whatever ) with 2 machine screws on them, well, alrighty then.
Everything is back together, nice and shiny, no left over bits all is good with the world.
Put in the key, the gauges do the sweep, hit the starter.......yep, nada, nothing, zilch.
Try again ( why ?), now words are spoken.
I do not deserve to play with things. I can't even take something apart and put it back together with out effing it up !!!
What a loser, what a maroon.....wait, the kill switch, well button actually, is it supposed to be in or out ???
Push the kill switch, push the starter, it cycles, have to do it twice since the fuel filter was empty, and then va-room.
All is good with the world, there are rainbows, unicorns, kittens and puppies in Fillmore, Ca.
I am the master of my garage, I walk tall and proud.
I am, a very happy camper.
I will be ordering tires in a few weeks, stand by....same bat channel, same bat time.....
