Back in the fold
« on: July 18, 2016, 10:16:58 AM »
I sold the 1200 Sport a couple of years ago due to electrical gremlins that neither I nor two dealers were ever able to exorcise.  I loved the bike, but I kind of had a bad taste in my mouth and replaced it with Brand X (OK, it was BMW).  Well whoever it was that told me when I bought the Sport that it wouldn't be my last was right on the money.  As of two days ago, the Beemer is gone and I'm back in the fold with a 2016 V7 II Special.  So far, I'm more than happy and I'm looking forward to to joining the chorus of small block fans.

Cool!  Pics?

8 years after selling my first, I bought my second last summer, a 2016 V7II Stone.

Yep, once that bug is in your system, you are infected for life.  Enjoy!

I went with the polar opposite of the 1200 Sport - a 2014 G650GS Sertão.  It was a great bike for what it was, but it just didn't ever push the right buttons for me.  It was one of those things I thought I wanted, but once I had it, I couldn't figure out why I had ever wanted it in the first place.
