I met John several years ago when he and his friend shipped their Guzzi's to Newark from the UK and rode cross country and had them shipped back from L.A.

He does Guzzi work as a side job and does custom builds here and there. Unlike a lot of customs, he builds them to be ridden. Here is his latest. You can read more about it here. http://motonero.blogspot.com/
