Need to do? Pretty much nothing.
What to do to make it easier to live with and more fun?
- Startus interruptus wiring change for the starter (very easy)
- Suspension upgrades (particularly rear), depending on your weight and riding style
- Check manufacture date to see if it may have the oil pump issue ( a search here will give more info). Most of these bikes had build dates in late 2006
- With only 2000 miles on it in almost 9 years, a full service is called for - fluids, plugs, filters and so on. Check all the rubber parts (I'd likely replace the tires)
- Grease everything that uses lube, including the windshield motor screw (does not require removal of the motor)
- Ride it. A lot. Or as a friend of mine says - "Ride as far as you can see. Then you'll be able to see further."
Note that these are all things that need to be done to any Norge, not just this one. Matter of fact, most need to be done to any used bike and most ones owned from new!
