Breva 1100 running Sport 1200 map 2230BD01
« on: July 26, 2016, 08:22:13 PM »
I heard that using a Sport 1200 2v non-abs map has done good things for some B1100 owners, so I flashed my ECU. I have yet to ride it on the open road because of my lack of summer gear. Installed it via GuzziDiag, reset TPS and learning. Lambda is off and set CO Trim from 0 (default) to 3, because it seemed a little lean. Some popping on throttle cut off at 0. Reduced popping at 3. Rapidly twisting throttle off idle had a short lag until engine was at operating temperature, then it seemed fine. I'll post update if it works better than stock map or not.

The map .bin filename was called "map 19 low rpm.bin"

Before trying this map I adjusted valves to .004 and .006, balanced throttle bodies and changed all fluids. I have a y pipe and stock slip-on. Air filter is stock too. Tank is vented to atmosphere.

I also have the following maps, but only tried Beetle's map.

Molly 20.bin (1200 Sport)
Map 22 rexxer hybrid.bin (1200 Sport)
Pete.bin (1200 Sport)
BJC new Breva 1100.bin (Breva 1100)
Breva1100-FU2-833.2016.5.14.bin (Beetle's map - Was previously installed, but on my machine, rpms seemed slow to climb until 3500k like the stock map. Idle seemed a tiny bit rough. Not as snatchy taking off between 2k and 3k rpm. Lambda off, CO Trim at 5 was rich, tried 3. At 0, idle rough at 1200. Probably will return to this map if Sport map is a bust.

I would like to thank those who created these maps and those who let me try them.

I think you are using one of my 1200 2v Sport maps. I sent most people map 18 but there is not much difference from map 19 anyway. I did at one time have a guy use one of my maps in his B1100 and he started data logging which for some reason never got finished. The feedback I did get was positive  and the bike ran well apparently.

Put the 1200 Sport 2 valve map on a BREVA I owned. Ran beautifully. Sold the bike. Too heavy, too highh in the saddle for me. Beautiful on the highway, a real prick around town. New owner has put a slip-on muffler on it and wonders why he has a problem with at revs around 3500 rpm. I have not tried to explain why to him.

Cheers

If you need the 833 map tweaked, let me know. Happy to do it.

Before Guzzidaig... I bought a stock 1200 sport ECU for my Breva 1100 with a Stucchi crossover. I removed the intake snorkel. It runs near perfect, strong and gets 40-45 US gallons per-mile  commuting with the O2 sensor turned on. It runs so good I haven't bothered retunning it any farther.

OP here. I ran with the 1200s map in the b1100 and I think I'll keep it. Took an hour ride, in high 70 to low 80 ambient temps. It seemed to get around 40-42 mpg. Fueling was smooth off idle once warmed up in 2 minutes. The lambda is disabled. Above 3500 rpm it was still going strong with less vibration than previous map. Stayed strong up to my rev limiter. Before I never hit rev limit because of vibration. The transition into the 3500 rpm power band from lower rpms is not as abrupt, so the application of power seems more linear. Had very little gurgle on abrupt throttle closing. What little there was is most likely due to aging ethanol fuel. No backfires. The CO trim is set to 2.

I'm pleased to hear the map worked on your B1100. For the record which map did you finish up running?

The map file was titled, "Map 19 low rpm.bin". GuzziDiag shows 2230BD01. I checked TunerPro and it showed the Lambda's were set to off. I also have one map titled 'Molly 20'. I may try that later, but everything seem good for now. Thank you for providing the maps.

No need to try map 20 it only had minor tweaks.
