Guzzi rider down (not me)
« on: August 06, 2016, 09:07:04 PM »
Jim Carreno, or the Washington State wing, went down leaving the parking lot at the group breakfast this morning.  The report is that he lost it in the gravel leaving the parking lot and the bike came down on top of him.  No indication of other traffic involved.  Both he and the bike have some damage.  Not sure about the bike, but he suffered a concussion, busted right ankle and other unknown problems with his other leg.  He was well attended by the rest of the group, the bike has been transported, and he (as near as I can tell) is laid up at home.  He's at aisl1@comcast.net if anyone wants to send him a note.

Not sure why he went down, but it re-enforces the theory that most accident happen within a mile of starting out.  Get back up soon Jim, and lets all be careful out there!

More than one person has had a bike go down in loose grave while maneuvering. Horrible stuff.
Heal quickly Jim.
