Denali SoundBomb Air horn: Has anyone installed one on their Guzzi?

Looking into the Denali SoundBomb air horn for my 1200 Sport. Has anyone installed one on their Guzzi with the optional wiring harness? If so, where did you mount it and was it hard to install?

It looks like a re-branded Stebel - same size, shape, etc. but with a different logo.

I put a Stebel on my 12S but had to mount the compressor under the left wing and the trumpet under the right wing, connected by plastic tubing.  It worked great that way.  On my Stelvio, I went with Fiamm freeway blasters because the wing space is much smaller.

You could always mount it up front and low if you don't want to tuck it under the tank.

You  would be well advised to use a relay. I made a harness to supply power to the relay from a fused connection to the battery. I put the relay under the very front of the tank on the Norge and used the stock horn wiring, unmodified, to trigger the relay. I even left the stock horn in place and put the new horn in the fairing.
One relay is fine to trigger 2 horns. Some of them even come with the relay!
Stebel or Fiamm, you will not be disappointed.

I have the Stebel (which looks about the same) on my 03 EV. Mounted on the front where the voltage regulator is, had to make the mounting bracket. My 1st attempt it stuck out to close to the front fender but after changing that it works great. The sound is awsome. Used a relay to drive it to keep current through the horn button down.

A 2003 EV HAS a relay for the horn already.

No - if you buy a pair they come with a relay take an in-line fuse from the battery thru a #12 or 14 wire to the relay then one wire to each horn.
I tried them on the stock horn relay that comes on an EV they worked but were twice as loud with a new relay.
Orient them so they are self draining

I agree with you Kiwi_Roy. Seemed to be to much drain on the stock wiring and also seemed to be much happier with the external relay.

A 2003 EV HAS a relay for the horn already.

I put my Fiaam horns on using the relay that came in the package then later on realized there was a horn relay on the bike already so I switched them back to it, they weren't nearly as loud, too much resistance in the wiring I think.

I installed the Split Version Denali on a KTM 390 Duke, using the optional wiring harness, both from Twisted Throttle.  The split version gives quite a bit more versatility in mounting as the original 1-piece unit (Stebel knock-off) is rather bulky. (I installed one of those on both a Stelvio and  a Can-Am Spyder)  Here's a write-up on my install on the KTM. You'll have to figure out a mount that will work on your Goose also.  The horn is very light weight and could even be zip tied to the frame.  The compressor is heavy and needs a solid frame mount.  Wiring diagram for the harness is sketchy, but I outlined the details in my installation. And the relay is supplied with the harness, no need to buy separately.

I installed the Denali Soundbomb on  my 2014 Stelvio, using custom wiring and a relay, just forward of the right hard case as there was enough room to keep it out of the way. It worked really well and was plenty loud. At the end of my recent 2400 mile trip, I discovered that the plastic housing for the air horns was cracked in multiple places. The horn still worked, but I contacted Twisted Throttle about it and they had me RMA it to them and refunded my money. I liked the horn, but I think it was too fragile for the amount of vibration and heat where I mounted it. I was going to put the replacement between the right hard case and wheel, but they sent me my money instead. So I replaced with the Fiamm freeway blasters (high and low) from my local Napa store and put those on a bracket behind the right hard case. Out of the way, loud enough and I think they will hold up better.

on using a relay and upgraded wires (I used #14).  These aluminum arms must be dampening any vibration because my horns do not seem to be suffering.  This location might be ugly but it certainly projects the sound to where I need it.  Just ask the lady who tried to merge right on top of me two weeks ago!

It will work but if you want them really loud run a dedicated wire from a fuse at the battery to the relay that comes in the package with the horns then a #14 to each horn, try it both ways you will see what I mean.

When you mount them have the red top uppermost so any rain can drain out of the snail shell.

 :1:  If you have a wrecking yard nearby get a horn off a large American vehicle.  Relay and fuse.  Use to use the Delco Remy horns off of Caddy's.   Cheap and you're recycling.

Loudest stock horn I ever had on a bike, and sounded more like an automobile than a typical bike horn.  Not terribly expensive, so I've been tempted to try one on my V7.

I don't know if the Sportster had a horn relay or not.
