Indian Scout FTR750 -- new dirt track racer

Like the Project 156, I'd love to see a street-legal version of this one hit the market.    Or, any sporting standard based on the Scout's motor for that matter.

That is a pretty cool looking bike-not much Scout in it but maybe about the same as the Sportster/XR750 relationship.

They have Jared Mees on board, should be a good year to follow the series.

I would buy a street legal version of that.

It's about as much Scout as Project 156 was.    That's fine.   The motor is what I want from the Scout. Don't get me long, the Scout is a great looking bike, but, cruiser ergos don't work for me.

What I want from an American motorcycle manufacture is standard ergos, and under 500 lbs for $14k or under (sorry, Motus).

I seriously considered the  XR1200X when they were out, the XL1200CX had got my attention.

Come on Polaris/Victory/Indian, build something cool for the non-cruiser crowd!

To clarify-not much Scout in the motor. The rest of the bike might well be some other company altogether..

You could build something like this with a Scout engine I suppose. I don't expect that FT engine to be available to anyone without a decent resume for a while.

THIS is what I wanted the scout to be- small, light, quick. Put a headlight, some signals, (front brake), and KEEP THE BS TO A MINIMUM!

I would be all over registering one of these if the thing would hold together for more than a race (looking at you, SXV)
