I had not been on a race track for about four years and was gettin a pretty good jones to get back out there but not ready to jump back on a motocross bike and there is not any real road racing to be had anywhere close. I heard about this I-70 flat track series and decided to go race it. And it's a pretty cool little mini series that is a blast for riders and spectators alike. This year started out on Friday August 5 at Wakeeney KS on a 3/8 mile, Saturday night the 6th was at Colby KS on a 3/8 Sunday was a travel day with Monday and Tuesday at Stockton KS on the 1/2 mile.
If a fella liked watching dirt track racing and riding the plains of western KS, this would be a pretty fun trip. Four races in five days. Straight roads, crappy food and bumpy hotel beds. But man we had a blast. Great people and even better racing. It's, from what I can tell, usually the weekend before Sturgis so they can get some of the big names on the Pro Circuit to stop by for a payday on the way to SD. Friday and Saturday there were several. Check out
