verdun best hotel?
« on: September 15, 2016, 11:52:12 AM »
For last night before ferry to Dover, staying in the ex military barracks, les jardines du mess
Not bad, heading down to piano bar now
Foods gonna be special methinks too, not quite as La Seldaggia in Mandello but an experience.

Old dungers going well too, had to deal with 150miles of pissing down but c'est la vie

"Les jardines du mess"?

Is that Franglish for the gardens of the mess?

If they're still serving what they did when that place was built, get ready for creamed beef on toast!

If you order the "soldier special" at the WW1 memorial in Kansas City, you'll be given this:

Looks like motivation to get out of the trenches - but all things considered, it was likely better than what most soldiers got!
