Think that may be the wrong link; took me to a vid of a beemer on the Trans Mass trail.

FWIW, there is a nice (positive, detailed, and lengthy) in the August number of Classic Bike Guide ...

If I live and ride long enough -- and have enough lire left after other toys and Kathi's grandbabies' gifts  :roll eyes: -- I might get one of those, or the V9 version of one appears.

The Trans Mass would be a nice ride for the Stonello!

I'd really like to put a Stornello in the stable but  i'd like it even more with a 4V 850 motor. Just saying...

The Stornello with the V9 motor would be hard for me to resist.

Waiting anxiously for the European bike shows this year and what models Guzzi may field.

That's a good video that shows the Stornello can handle dirt roads pretty well.

The main (and huge, thing is that ABS is not easily switched on and off.  That is a deal-killer for me and anyone seriously wanting to run dirt.  Darn.

This month's issue of Classic Bike Guide - Alana Cathcart gave a lengthy and glowing write up on the Stornello, 10 colour pages of print.

I really like Alan's opinions on bikes and he obviously likes the Stornello.

Great to see Guzzi getting such well deserved coverage.

What's so difficult about popping off the seat and pulling out the ABS fuse?

pulling out the ABS fuse

Sounds like a no brainer to me but would that disrupt any other system?

There is a separate fuse that affects only ABS and TC.  Most riders want TC disabled for off-road riding anyway.  A simple way to disable TC alone is by pressing and holding in the start button for a couple of seconds while the engine is running, but pulling the fuse disables both TC and ABS.
