That's what I was thinking too.  Looks like an MGX without the bags and fairing.  Nice looking bike for sure.

The real curb weight of Centaro has to be around 540lbs.   The book I have for reference The Moto Guzzi Story, says dry weight of 494lbs, that might be from the brochure! 

But even so the big cruiser is a lot more bike than the Centaro size wise, I could easily see 120 extra pounds in there, it a cruiser, they are not going for ultra low weight.

Calm down Rocker.  Look at how many new bikes Guzzi has put out in the last two/three years, for a small little division, thats pretty impressive.  Now they may not be the type of bike you are exactly looking for, but you know there are several more in the works.  They decided to market what would sell big first, then appeal to the faithful a little later, with the more sporty, and off road bikes.  Keep your powder dry, you can make it!

In any event, I found the MGX21 much better looking in person, but I tend to like paint jobs with some color, not all black, and carbon fibre seems to be over done - in my ever so humble opinion; at least for my wallet. I find the new color scheme on the new Touring much prettier. Your mileage may vary. :D

Yes.  That's exactly what it is.  They've taken some of the carbon bits developed for the MGX-21 and put them on the existing Audace.  And,,,, Presto!!!  New model, the "Audace Carbon"!!!

There is a new Audace with the carbon fiber fenders and a Rosso Mandello red/orange gas tank at Powersports Chandler.  They also have a black one.  Don't remember them having red valve covers.  They didn't have the 21" wheel.  I like the look of the red/orange gas tank.  It's metallic too.

The Audace as a "power cruiser" is starting to appeal to me more than the Griso or the MGX, Cali Touring & Standard.

Mike, at the '2016 Open House' they exhibited the MGX-whatever it's called in a welded up cage, presumably to allude to the fact it's some sort of 'Beast'!

Look, it may be a fine 'Cruiser', so owners who like such things will love it. Luap, who is fairly well inculcated into the whole *Guzzi* thing seems to love his. Problem is for me it doesn't say *Guzzi*, to be honest it doesn't even say *Motorbike*. I tried a Cali. I really wanted to like it. But I couldn't. They are a huge, evil handling, primitively suspended, prick of a thing TO ME and I find the idea of coating anything in the Cali range in Carbon Fibre ab-bloody-surd! It's not just lipstick on a pig! It's making the pig wear a Lycra bikini covered in rhinestones, swing a Hula-Hoop and put out for any passing rough trade!

Yes, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one, but really? Carbon fibre? It does my bloody head in!

The fenders looked carbon fiber on the Audace.  I tapped on them and looked at the layering.  The tank had no carbon fiber.  Maybe the covers are for putting that lycra bikini on the pig.

Now that's funny. Seriously, if I were going to spend even close to that kind of money on a "cruiser", I'd probably have to buy a show-worthy restored 1970s ambassador. I've been drooling over a red 1968 V700 on CL recently.

Just to keep everyone on the same flooring, a MG Custom curb weight, that is ready to roll is 668lbs.

For those who are picky like me I'd say guzzi is started to have a lot of options/combo,s. I like the touring but to much fiberglass, I like the eldo but not the rear fender light set I up. I like the MGX-21 but not the front 21" wheel with solid rim look. You combine all those and you get the Auduce. Change the tank Panels to the eldo covers and I think I am getting close to sold. Just wish Guzzi still offered the wixom fairing that came out on the original ambassador and eldorado. Good wind protection and sharp looking and a 40 year old design.
