V7II ABS & TC Indicators
« on: November 02, 2016, 06:33:22 AM »
Anybody know why the ABS indicator has three wires where the TC indicator has two. I have looked at the circuit and see no relevant explanation. The only possible is that the cable for the ABS indicator is shielded, but, looking at the cable physically, it does not appear to be shielded.
I am intending to replace the indicators which are showing signs of degradation, even though the bike does not see a lot of sun.
For those people that have ideas of replacing same, they are 14mm mount holes, three leads for the ABS indicator and two leads for the Traction Control indicator.

Cheers

Brian

Sorry I can't help with your question about the wiring.  There are other reports of these lights deteriorating, and the ones on my '16 Stone are also beginning to crack around the edges, after 13,500 mi.  After talking it over with my dealer, we decided to wait until just before my warranty expires in May '17 to put in a claim, in the hopes that MG will come up with revised, more robust lights by then.
